2015 Ferrari California T
An All Rounder
Time, they say, is a real luxury. But so is choice. And when it comes to choice, the Ferrari California T really takes some beating. The folding metal roof layout gives the option of closed-coupe security or drop-top freedom. The interior is also configured as a 2+2, meaning it’s as cossetting as a two-seater when you want it to be, but a relatively practical four-seater when that’s required, too.
Formula 1 Style
Then there’s the driveline. The turbocharged V8 engine gives you the choice to use the superb flexibility born of 755 Nm of torque to maximise efficiency, or to get serious with the throttle pedal and unleash every one of the 412 kiloWatts lurking under the bonnet. The seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, meanwhile, offers a choice of civilised automatic shifting or, at the flip of a paddle-shift, Formula 1-style shifts that take just a fraction of a second to complete.
Multiple Cars in One
Even the way the car responds to driver input involves choices. Selectable drive modes mean things like the throttle response and gearshift aggression can be tailored on the run. As can the dampers, which are adjustable to suit whatever road surface is being encountered at the time. Multiple cars in one? Precisely.
This example is finished in a classic black-on-black with quilted leather trim and carbon-fibre additions as well as diamond-cut forged alloy rims in a 20-inch fitment. The front seats are electrically operated and heated and the car features Bluetooth and Apple CarPlay connectivity. With less than 12,000 km on board, it’s still factory fresh and represents a brilliant invitation to the Ferrari family.
Features include: Heated front seats, navigation, parking camera, yellow tachometer, dual-zone climate-control, selectable drive modes, Bluetooth connectivity, drilled aluminium pedals, carbon-fibre central bridge, contrast stitching, aluminium brake calipers, sports exhaust.
