2019 Maserati Levante GranLusso
You really shouldn’t call a car GranLusso unless you can back up the grand-luxury experienced suggested by the badge. Maserati knows as much as has ensured that the GranLusso variant of its Levante luxury SUV can uphold the claim.
Comfort is Priority
It does so by ensuring the interior is not just as comfortable and cocooning as possible, but that it also has something that nobody else is offering. Maserati knows that it is exclusivity that is the real luxury these days. So, as well as powered front seats that are heated, cooled and can move in any one of 12 directions, the GranLusso also gets a panoramic sunroof as standard and details such as keyless entry and start and a full suite of connectivity to the outside world.
Arguably, though, it’s the interior trim materials that really marks the GranLusso as special. Working with renowned high-end menswear brand, Ermengildo Zegna, the GranLusso features an interior covered not just in fine, supple leather, but with silk inserts for the seats, door panels, roof lining and even the sun-visors. It’s not the same silk that would be used in a fine mens’ suit, but is designed to be durable and comfortable in the context of an SUV interior. And it looks amazing.
Outside, the GranLusso is distinguished by the metallic-finish trim areas including the window frames, roof rails and the protection plates on the front apron. Under the bonnet lies Maserati’s twin-turbocharged V6 engine, the eight-speed automatic transmission and the brand’s Q4 all-wheel-drive system which gives the Levante the grip it needs to be a serious SUV.
Features include: Traffic-sign recognition, driver-assistance package, piano black trim, sport pedals, illuminated door sills, automatic tailgate with kick-sensor, shift paddles, keyless entry and start, yellow brake calipers, advanced lighting system, navigation, reversing camera, full connectivity, designer silk interior trim,
