2016 Ferrari 488 GTB
Just in case a bright red Ferrari 488 GTB wasn’t eye-catching enough, the original purchaser of this vehicle made sure his new car stood out. But while some alternative colour schemes don’t always work in harmony with the original car, the two-tone paintwork on this car is stunning. While the lower part of the 488 is finished in classic Rosso Corsa, the glasshouse has been blacked out which, in combination with the tinted windows, gives the impression of a floating roofline.
Elsewhere, the car has been personalised extensively. There’s carbon-fibre side air-splitters, red brake calipers, a carbon front spoiler, front and rear parking sensors, a reversing camera and a suspension lifter to protect the nose from speed humps and angled driveways. Wheels are forged 20-inch alloys.
Inside, the two-tone theme has been continued with a carbon-fibre central bridge contrasting with the red leather that covers the lower half of the dashboard and the door-trim inserts. The red and black continues with a red-faced tachometer and red seat-belts, while the black leather Goldrake race seats feature Cavallinos and red stitching. Overall, this is a 488 that will always stand out from the pack.

The performance demands attention, too, and the twin-turbocharged V8 engine gives the 488 proper supercar performance as well as slick shifting from the seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. Handling, meanwhile, is a level above just about anything else on the road thanks to Ferrari’s traditional central placement of the engine, endowing the 488 with near-perfect weight distribution and phenomenal balance to match its speed.
