2017 Ferrari GTC4 Lusso T
Hailed as Ferrari’s most practical model, the GT4C Lusso is also possibly the brand’s most capable long-distance touring machine. But much more than that, it’s a high-performance coupe that also happens to be able to seat four people. Nor does the GT4C pay lip-service to that notion; the rear seats are full sized buckets that can accommodate adults, while the extended roofline offers good rear headroom and better than average luggage capacity.
Turn it Up
In the case of this model, the T stands for Ferrari’s lauded twin-turbocharged V8 engine. Selling alongside the V12 version of the Lusso, the T has been both lightened and simplified by adopting a rear-wheel-drive platform, rather than the all-wheel-drive version that underpins the V12.
Torque A Lot
Ferrari also tailored the rest of the mechanical package to suit the V8’s unique weight distribution, lower overall mass (down 55 kg) and character, making changes to the rear-wheel-steering calibration and fine-tuning the dampers. And while the turbocharged V8 has less capacity than the V12 version, the forced induction means there is actually more torque available and over a much wider spread of engine speeds. Combined with a race-inspired seven-speed double-clutch transmission and an electronic rear differential, the Lusso T can reach 100 km/h from rest in just 3.5 seconds and will run out to 320 km/h which is exactly 200 miles-per-hour in the old money.
Stunning Silver Silhouette
This car is presented in stunning silver against a black interior which suits the Lusso’s silhouette perfectly. It’s also fitted with 20-inch alloy wheels, yellow brake calipers, a panoramic sunroof, carbon-fibre exterior trim pieces and Cavallinos stitched into the seat head-rests. It has travelled nominal kilometres and is in as-new condition.
