2018 Aston Martin DB11
Aston Martin’s own corporate view has always been that proportion is the foundation of its cars’ appeal. And that’s a very difficult sentiment to argue against when you look at the classic – and unmistakably Aston Martin – lines of the DB11. The body, which uses bonded aluminium construction, includes all of the classic Aston Martin trademark design cues and, from any angle, could not be the work of any other marque.
V8 twin turbocharged
This car features the four-litre V8 complete with twin turbochargers for the sort of performance Aston Martin buyers expect, along with enough technology to make this the most efficient `DB’ badged Aston in the marque’s history. And of course, the trademark V8 soundtrack is part of the package. Offsetting the V8’s smaller engine capacity is a weight reduction of 115 kg over the V12 version, making the two variants very close in outright performance terms.
The new DB9
Designed to replace the vaunted DB9, the DB11 was completely re-engineered to include new steering, electronics and suspension which featured adaptive dampers, allowing for selectable drive modes to tailor the day-to-day experience.
This example is finished in Onyx Black with Obsidian Black leather and contrasting silver stitching. It was also highly optioned by the original owner to include diamond-cut 20-inch alloy wheels, carbon-fibre interior trim, leather headlining, blind-spot monitoring and red brake calipers.
Bluetooth connectivity, Multi-function screen, digital radio, front, head and side air-bags, launch-control, keyless entry and start, LED lighting, paddle-shifters, stop-start function, 20-inch alloy wheels.
