2018 Bentley Flying Spur
Five Star Offering
Even by the lofty standards set by cars of this ilk, this 2018 Bentley Flying Spur takes lavish to new heights. As well as offering the largest, most powerful of two engine options, this car is also configured to seat, rather than five in comfort, four in opulence.
The four-door Bentley was ordered to W12S specification which endows it with the six-litre V12 engine that, thanks to twin turbochargers and the inherent balance of a V12, is silken and supremely powerful. Not only is the engine’s 467 kW remarkable, the torque figure of 820 Nm developed from as low as 2,000 rpm gives this imposing sedan monstrous performance. All-wheel-drive is also fitted to maintain grip when the engine comes on song. An eight-speed automatic transmission has been calibrated to work quietly and unobtrusively in the background.
Ticks Every Box
Inside, the lush, pleated leather trim is presented in two-tone Linen and Beluga with contrasting stitching and deep, factory-option overmats. Bentley emblems have been stitched into the interior and privacy glass was fitted to the car from new. Other interior options include a digital television, adaptive cruise-control, rear-view camera and even a safety kit incorporating a safety triangle and first-aid kit.
Ride like Aladdin
Beyond that level of standard equipment, though, lies the real master-stroke of cars like the Flying Spur; that magic-carpet ride and the ability to cover kilometres without fuss or fatigue. Strange then, that this car has covered less than 4,000 km from new. Strange perhaps, but definitely good news for its next owner.
Features include: Digital television, safety kit, adaptive cruise-control, powered seats, sunroof, four-seat layout, 21-inch directional alloy wheels, navigation, full connectivity, diamond-pleat leather trim, factory overmats, LED headlights, reversing camera, keyless entry and start, heated seats front and rear, air suspension with variable ride height.
