2018 Ferrari 488 Spider
Any Ferrari 488 Spider is a high probability to get you noticed. But the original owner of this car was taking no chances. While the classic Rosso Corsa exterior makes its traditional impact, the interior takes that to another level. The under-dash, seats, steering wheel and even the centre console have been trimmed in factory red leather, with details such as the embroidered Cavallinos and stitching highlighted in bright yellow to match the seat-belts and even the tachometer face. Further interior highlights include carbon-fibre air vents, switch panel and central bridge. It sounds extreme, but in the flesh makes a truly bold statement and ensures this car will never be missed.
An Eye Catcher
The seats themselves are Goldrake racing items and other factory option additions include the adaptive headlights, front end lifting system, and parking sensors and cameras, both front and rear. Wheels are Ferrari’s diamond-cut 20-inch alloys complete with performance Pirelli tyres and performance brake rotors with yellow calipers.
Full of Drama
Beyond the bold presentation, this car features all the drama of any other 488 convertible and all of the performance of any 488. That includes supercar acceleration from the 3.9-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine and the crisp-shifting seven-speed dual-clutch transmission born of Ferrari’s Formula 1 program.
Lift it Off
The folding metal roof of the 488 Spider is also a work of art. It adds just 50 kg to the overall weight of the car yet provides top-down cool-factor as well as all the safety and security of a conventional hardtop coupe at all other times.
