2019 Maserati Levante GranSport
More than a SUV
There will be those who take one look at the Maserati Levante and conclude that it has zero off-road credentials. They’d be wrong. Despite the svelte looks and incredibly plush interior, the Levante is more than just an SUV; it’s a high-performance SUV and one that can take to light-duty off-roading without resorting to being towed home.
The standard air-suspension, for instance has a dedicated off-road program which lifts the vehicle a full 40 mm to give it the sort of ground clearance required for unmade roads. At the same time, the on-board electronics also feature a hill-descent mode which allows the vehicle to automatically maintain a safe speed down steep, slippery slopes.
Extensive Driving Modes
It is, of course, on the tarmac where the Levante does its best work, and thanks to the Maserati badge, it has a lot to live up to. But it does so, with a twin-turbocharged V6 engine and an eight-speed automatic gearbox driving through the brand’s Q4 all-wheel-drive system. The driver can also select from a range of driving modes to suit the conditions and his or her mood, while the four other people on board are looked after in superb comfort and safety.
This car is presented with very low kilometres, and features a range of factory options that extends its appeal both as a driver’s car and as an all-purpose SUV. Those include the driver-assistance package (which includes the ability for the car to identify pedestrians and take appropriate action to avoid them) the Maserati factory sports steering wheel, soft-close doors, a panoramic sunroof, illuminated sill panels and even a kick-sensing tailgate opener.
Features: Illuminated door sills, keyless entry and start, panoramic sunroof, roof rails, blue brake calipers, navigation, dual-zone climate-control, Android and Apple CarPlay connectivity, adjustable dampers, air-suspension with variable ride height, Trident headrests, reversing camera, panoramic sunroof, fully electric, heated front seats.
