2015 Ferrari 458 Speciale
Staggering power output
The 458 Italia was a superstar from the start, but it is the more driver-focussed Speciale that elevates this particular 458 derivative to legend status. Boasting the most powerful naturally aspirated V8 ever to come from Maranello with 445 kW, the 458 Speciale sets a staggering specific power output of almost 100 kilowatts per litre.
Ferrari drew heavily on its extensive F1 knowledge at the design, process and control stage for this enhanced engine. They used the same processes and machinery employed by the F1 team to deliver complex components, with the necessary extreme structural and dimensional characteristics.
For the skilful driver
But it isn’t just the omnipotent engine that makes the 458 Speciale extraordinary. It is the enhanced active aerodynamics and sharper vehicle dynamics that set the Speciale apart from the Italia, and indeed every Ferrari before it including the acclaimed Challenge Stradale and 430 Scuderia special series. Especially noteworthy is the introduction of Side Slip Control which enables prolonged oversteer for the skilful driver.
This rare 458 Speciale is Australian delivered with one owner, full service history, books and receipts. It’s an absolute eye-catcher with dual black stripes on a yellow body complemented with an impeccable, padded, hand stitched, light grey Alcantara interior and drilled aluminium racing pedals.
